What exactly is a slay queen? These two words have been hijacked and bastardised beyond reckoning. What we know it to mean is not what it's supposed to mean. This is what happens when words are taken out of context and used to describe women who offer nothing but their body. The truth of the matter is you are not slaying anyone you are disposable. If you are a woman in this situation don't ever be comfortable and grow roots.

Is a boss lady. A woman who is made, does not take any prisoners and does not depend on anyone. If she is in a relationship or marriage it is a partnership not a charity case. She is at the top of her game, other women hate her. Not because she has Brazilian hair , has many likes on IG, borrows friends clothes to wear so that she can pose for selfies to upload onto social media sites, basically spends hours looking good but has no where to go.
A slay queen does not try she does. You can be all about the social and still be your own person. That is not the same as saying you have had a bad day if no one has paid you a compliment. There are women like that who don't have a relationship with themselves and rely heavily on others to boost their moral.
You slay obstacles, you don't get slayed , that puts you in the same category as a goat ready for the pot, soon you will be soup eaten and forgotten.
A slay queen in the true sense has a man who is proud to be seen with her a good example of a slay queen Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, , chimamanda ngozi adichie, Angela Merkel,Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Oby Ezekwesili. I don't look at achievements based on tribes or lineage Not everyone is academically inclined I accept that but you can make choices.
The issue most women overlook is age, time is not kind to most of us. You will get old and then what? Act desperate ?
Even if you are selling pears at the market, or have a small business at home you are slaying.
You are slaying if you make decisions that change lives, not deciding if this lipstick matches with your aso ebi.
Before you embrace the term" slay queen" ask yourself this , what have you done with your life thus far that would resound in people's memories? Whom have you influenced and above all who actually aspires to be like you? When will women realise that being pretty is not sufficient? In these dire economic times who needs that added weight?
Be a Queen that slays , a woman your man is proud off not the one all his friends have carnal knowledge off. And that's the problem when something that meant something goes through some form of Bastardisation and is cheapened. That's something we are very good at doing misappropriation . Take something and make it your own and not allow yourself to be mis-defined
