Anger, anxiety, frustration and fatigue. Those are the words used to
describe the atmosphere yesterday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international
airport Abuja, as Arik air passengers were delayed for a little above 6
hours right there in the airport departure section. According to
reports, this is not the first time this is happening as On saturday
19th November 2011, Arik flight was delayed at heathrow airport for
about 6 hours.
The
reasons for the delay this time around was not disclosed as all members
of staff of Arik air were unwilling to speak to our BTPpoliticsToday
correspondent, however, it was later gathered that the affected flights
included: Abuja-Kwara, Abuja-Warri,Abuja-Lagos.
BTPpoliticsToday
also gathered that a fight broke out between the angry passsengers and
members of staff of Arik air leading to destruction of properties before
the manager came to salvage the situation.
