2015 Cowbell Mathematics Champion, Akinkuowo Honoured By School. - Education

student of Senior Secondary School III of Adeyemi College of Education
Demonstration Secondary School, Ondo (ACEDSSO), Master Ayodeji Akinkuowo
who emerged winner in the senior category of the 2015 edition of the
Mathematics Competition organized by Promasidor Nigeria Limited, the
Manufacturer of Cowbell milk has been honoured.
In an address
delivered on the occasion by the Provost of ACE, Prof. Olukoya Ogen,
during an elaborate ceremony organised by Adeyemi College of Education,
Ondo, he described the event as epoch making and commended Akinkuowo,
for his excellent performance. Prof. Ogen equally commended the
Management and teachers for the feat recorded in the School, describing
the achievement as a reflection of the standard of teaching and level of
academic progress in the institution. While assuring staff and students
of his administration’s determination to uplift the standard of
teaching and learning in the School, the Provost dropped hint of plan to
employ more qualified teachers to complement existing ones in the
institution adding that the move would enable it retain its leadership
position among its peers in Nigeria.
While lauding the
Mathematics champion, Akinkuowo for bringing honour to the School and
Ondo State in general, the ACE helmsman also commended his parents for
investing in his education and charged other parents to emulate them.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the Acting Chairman, Parents Teachers
Association (PTA) ACEDSSO, Dr. Felix Adegunloye, lauded the 2015
Cowbell National Mathematics Competition winner, Akinkuowo for doing his
school proud. Adegunloye also commended Mathematics teachers in the
school for their dedication, commitment and hardwork. He also thanked
the Provost of ACE, Prof. Olukoya Ogen and the institution’s Management
for providing financial support to ACEDSSO, saying the development has
enhanced academic progress in the school.
Also in his address
while presenting Akinkuwo to the gathering, the Principal of ACEDSSO,
Mr. Emmanuel Owasoyo described him as a brilliant and humble student. He
explained that his (Akinkuowo’s) success at the Mathematics Competition
bore testimony of his brilliance, mental ability and hard work
